This Modern Two-Bedroom Tiny House Is the Perfect Backyard Sleeping Pod

Source From: Auto Evolution

Tiny homes are not only a safe, affordable, and sustainable housing alternative but also a popular travel trend, as many environmentally conscious travelers are looking for a stay in a cozy and sustainable living space in the middle of nature. What they lack in square footage, they make up for in charm and style, offering guests a memorable vacation experience that conventional rental options simply cannot match.

The Lake, a sleek, eco-friendly tiny house on wheels designed by Tilt Tiny Homes, is a great example of a compact structure that can be used as a vacation rental property. With a modern, eye-catching design, oversized windows for spectacular views, and comfortable accommodation, this miniature house welcomes guests in a minimalist yet stylish atmosphere that allows them to fully immerse in the surrounding nature.

Tilt Tiny Homes is a small building company in Atlanta, Georgia, that focuses on creating personalized living spaces. As is the case with many tiny house manufacturers, the owners experienced the allure of the home-on-wheels lifestyle firsthand, as their journey began in 2022 with the creation of their very own tiny haven.

Built on a triple-axle trailer, the Lake tiny house boasts a modern exterior with an unconventional trapezoidal shape and black metal siding all around. Massive picture windows on the facade give those inside unobstructed views of the outdoors while also maximizing natural light, brightening the entire living space, and creating a more inviting atmosphere.

The designers' vision with this unit was to create "a sanctuary that not only captures the essence of modernity but also redefines the possibilities of compact living." The small dwelling is not just aesthetically pleasing but also structurally sound and meticulously crafted, showcasing a harmonious blend of style and comfort.

The 272 square feet (25.2 square meters) of available living space are thoughtfully divided between a large living room, a full bathroom, and two cozy ground-floor bedrooms. As you can notice, there is no kitchen inside this home, which obviously limits its functionality as a full-time residence. However, it is designed with versatility in mind, and although it is not meant to become someone's permanent dwelling, it can easily be configured as a self-contained sleeping pod, a charming backyard guest house, a temporary housing solution, or a rental property.

While the exterior exudes quaint elegance, once you step inside, you're enveloped by warmth and coziness, seamlessly blended with modern functionality. The walls and ceiling are lined with plywood, an attractive and environmentally friendly material that enhances the home's holiday shack looks. The simple yet extremely strong material has a laid-back quality that perfectly matches the vibe of a weekend getaway.

The large living room occupies the center of the house and receives plenty of sunlight from two vertical windows and the double entrance door. Minimally furnished and decorated with a sofa, a chair, and an ottoman, this simple lounge invites you to kick back, unwind, and recharge, evoking a sense of warmth, relaxation, and escapism.

The Lake can comfortably sleep four people in two inviting bedrooms, one at either end of the house. Each is completely enclosed thanks to sliding doors and offers all the comforts of a conventional bedroom, including standing height, privacy, and space to walk around the bed.

They are each furnished with a plush queen-size bed for a restful night's sleep and feel like a tranquil haven for relaxation. Plywood is also the dominant material in the two bedrooms, and the natural texture and color of the material add warmth to the space, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. For added functionality, both rooms have clothes hooks and a large mirror mounted on the wall. The oversized windows invite the outdoors in and are perfect for lying in bed and staring at the landscape.

The full bathroom is neatly integrated between the lounge and one of the bedrooms and is remarkably stylish for a minimalist home on wheels meant to function as a sleeping pod. It includes a full-size corner shower cabin, a vanity with two large drawers, a sink, and a toilet, ensuring that all your sanitary needs are met.

The Lake tiny house pictured here is being used as a tiny modern retreat nestled close to the picturesque Nottely Lake in the heart of the North Georgia mountains. The owners rent it out on Airbnb, demonstrating its great potential as a solution to generate extra income.

But this particular model, with its beautiful modern design and practical layout, would be the ideal solution for those who don't have a spare bedroom for guests in their traditional home. With a tiny home like this parked comfortably in your backyard, your family and friends will enjoy a little slice of paradise each time they visit.
